Sagittarius Brands Names Jim Lyons Chief Development Officer
(Lake Forest, CA) Dec. 16, 2008 - Sagittarius Brands, parent company of Captain D’s Seafood Kitchen and Del Taco, has named industry veteran Jim Lyons as chief development officer.
In this role, Lyons will be directly responsible for Del Taco’s development functions including real estate, construction and franchise recruitment as well as franchise operations, reporting to Nick Shepherd, chairman and CEO of Sagittarius Brands. Lyons will also provide oversight of these functions for Captain D’s.
“Jim Lyons brings to our business a great track record of driving profitable restaurant growth,” said Nick Shepherd. “His development experience spans more than 20 years and includes leading real estate, construction, franchise sales and operations with several of the country’s top chains.”
Most recently, at Popeye’s Restaurants, Lyons held the positions of chief operating officer and chief development officer. Prior to Popeye’s, Lyons was vice president of development for Domino’s, executive vice president of franchising and development of Denny’s, and vice president of franchising and development services for Burger King Corporation.
